++++ All units feature Flush-mount Components ++++

VERNON MANUFACTURING RECOMMENDS THAT A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN PERFORM THIS WORK.  PLEASE FOLLOW ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL CODES REGARDING ELECTRICAL OR PLUMBING INSTALLATION.  USE A DEDICATED CIRCUIT AND SURGE PROTECTION.

Since each application is different, mounting hardware is not furnished and the following are general instructions only.  Your application will dictate the parameters and hardware needed.

If your Streetside Box will be free standing, we recommend using ready-made supports or square tubing embedded in concrete for the posts.  Remove the plastic plugs from the back of the box or drill new holes as needed.  Use 1/2” carriage bolts with washers and nuts to mount the box to your supports or to the side of an existing building.  An awning, or similar cover, over the box will help keep out moisture and keep customers dry.

No power cord is furnished and hard wiring is encouraged. No holes have been drilled for power or valve wiring.  You and your installer can decide what is best for you.  Bring the power wires into the BOTTOM terminal positions #1 and #2.  Locate the ground lug in the lower left corner of the backing plate.

Install the valve in your water line either horizontal or vertical.  Flow direction is marked. Protect it from freezing.  A gate valve (not furnished) mounted ahead of the water valve aids in cleaning and repair.

PLEASE NOTE:  Valve port #4 must be open to air—DO NOT PLUG THIS HOLE.

As of 8.1.2020, except for ground, all ASCO Control Solenoid wires are red.  Lengthen as needed, crimp on the forked wire ends, and bring them to the BOTTOM terminal strip positions #6 and #7.  Refer to the sticker.

Remember:  There is no positive or negative to these wires.  Either wire to either position.

Automatic Drain:  If so equipped, tie both solenoids in parallel and follow the previous step.

Verify the green ground wires are tied under a bolt on the valve.

Card Reader:  If so equipped, place the rubber seal between the Stub Mount Antenna and the top of the Streetside Box.  Thread the  wire through the hole and secure the antenna with the locking nut.  Now bring the antenna wire to the AMIT modem.  Remove the red cap and secure it to the threaded connector, snug but not overly tight.  It is protected by a red cover.  Download the instruction manual found here to manage your card accounts.  Call if you have problems.

Paperwork is included to set up your account and give customers email receipts.  Enter your information and return it to InOne as explained.

Key Switch Override:  If so equipped, city personnel can obtain water without having to use money.  Simply insert the key and turn.  It is labeled “CITY USE ONLY”.

Choice Switch:  If so equipped, on the BOTTOM terminal strip, bring one wire from one valve to position #6, and one wire from the other valve to position #8.  Tie all the neutral wires together and bring only one wire into position #7.  If each valve has an Automatic Drain, follow the instructions shown above.

NOTE:  Some machines have two timers for different size valves.  Wires and terminal position are tagged.

Except for the power and valve wires, no other wiring inside the box is necessary.  Refer to all wiring stickers.

To set the timer to deliver the amount of water you want to sell, follow the HRV Timer Settings sheet.
